Saputara is a tourist destination situated in the Dang district of Gujarat.It is the only hill station in Gujarat. Saputara is the ideal getaway for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts . 1. Saputara Lake

2. Gira Waterfalls

3. Nageshwar Mahadev Temple

The Nageshvara Jyotirlinga is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines, and is believed to be one of the most holy temples of Gujarat. The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva, whose shrine is placed in an underground chamber. The temple is excessively crowded by devotees on the occasion of Shivaratri.

4. Waghai Batonical Garden

The garden and Bio-Diversity Conservation center have a wide range of native and exotic plant samples from which you can learn to identify plants, learn how they are used for food and medicine, and how much we depend on them. There is a nature education trail which leads you to and from Vansda Park. You might not find people to welcome and orient you, but there is plenty of written information about the plants posted around the center. The garden is open from 8am-6pm and entry is free.

5. Saputara Tribal Museum

This museum will give you an introduction to the lifestyle, costumes, heritage and ecology of the tribal Dangs. It is worth visiting to learn about many major forms of tribal expression such as a stone funerary column, grass ornaments, stuffed birds, woodcarving, clay ritual objects, body tattoos, and masks used in dance-dramas, and musical instruments. Use it as an opportunity to educate yourself about the local culture before venturing into it in a less mediated way.

6. Maharishi Sadafaldeo Dandakvan Ashram

Maharishi Sadafaldeo Ashram

Situated near the dense forests of Gujarat at the bank of river Choti Cauvery. “This Dandakvan Ashram is the Sadguru’s abode. Its importance is immeasurable. Those men and women who pine for God, when they come here, in this Dandakvan, when they behold this ultimate holy place or stay here, they will be entitled to Bhakti (devotion) and Mukti (liberation).”

7. Pandava Gufa

Pandava Gufa or Pandav Cave is one of the most popular historical attractions in the state of Gujarat as it is believed that Pandavas, the heros of epic Mahabharata spent some time during their exile days here. The cave is about 60 m long and 15 m wide. There is an impressive Shivling in the cave which were used by Pandavas to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva. It is said that there are multiple chamber inside the cave of which the biggest one belongs to ‘Bhima’.

8. Lake Garden

Lake Garden is a beautiful garden ,also called as Lake View Garden, it is an ideal picnic spot and also one of the prime places to visit in Saputara.Situated on the banks of Saputara Lake, Lake Garden is a perfect place to sit by and relax or take a stroll along the periphery of the lake. This well-manicured garden has green lawns, some rare and exotic species of plants and trees. Besides, one can also find a few walking trails, benches, a glass house with in the Garden. There is also a huge playground for children in the garden premises. This is an ideal place for relaxing and spending time with family and friend.

9. Sahyadri Adventure Park

Saputara Adventure Park is located at governor hill, sunset point. Excellent views of sunrise and sunset, steep cliffs, perfect wind, deep valley, gradual hills provide excellent terrain for variety of adventure activities like. Paragliding , Zorbing Rock Climbing, Scrambling Hiking, Trail Running Mountain Biking , Horse Back Riding & ATV Ride (“All-Terrain Vehicle.” As the name implies, these vehicles are designed to travel under a variety of conditions) .

10. Ropeway

The Ropeway Ride is the most popular activity here and also the main attractions in Saputara. Operated by the Vaity Resort, the cable car runs between Table Land and Sunset Point. The 10 minutes ride provides a bird’s eye view of the entire city, the lake and the adjoining plains. The cable car can carry up to 6 people at a time. There will be a long queue during weekends and holidays.

11. Step Garden

Step Garden is uniquely constructed on steps that run down a small hillock. These steps are decorated with different varieties of foliage (Plants and leaves Collectively) and stunning wooden work.The step garden is a unique initiative that aims to protect and conserve plants in given restricted spaces. In order to provide a comfortable accommodation to visitors coming here, the garden has many forest huts. For the entertainment of children, the Step Garden opened playing areas within its premises. From the top point of the garden one can get a bird eye view of Saputara town.A visit to the garden is more enjoyable during the months from March to April & July to August when the flowers are in full bloom.
